Secure VoIP app – download and log in (iPhone and Android)

The Secure VoIP app lets you make and receive calls on your ASH NET phone number from your mobile, anywhere you have internet. Calls to your number ring the app; calls you make show your ASH NET number.

Download

An alternative app, the Basic Edition, is also available – see Secure VoIP Basic Edition. All apps for phones and computers are listed on our Secure VoIP app page.

Log in (iPhone)

  1. Open the app and tap Allow for notifications, photo library, camera and contacts. Without notifications the app cannot wake up for incoming calls.
  2. Enter your phone number (digits only, as shown in the VoIP portal) and your SIP password, then log in.
  3. On the dialler screen tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner, then the phone button on the left. This places a test call to your voicemail.
  4. Tap Allow when asked for microphone access. You are ready to make and receive calls.

Log in (Android)

  1. Open the app and tap Allow for notifications – without this we cannot wake the app for incoming calls.
  2. Enter your phone number and SIP password, then log in.
  3. Tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner, then the phone button on the left to place a test call to your voicemail. Allow microphone access if asked.
  4. The first time you open other screens (for example Contacts) you will be asked for more permissions – always tap Allow so every part of the app works.

Your login is your phone number and the SIP password we emailed you – not the VoIP portal password. If you have lost it, contact us and we will reset it.

Battery settings (Android)

If incoming calls stop ringing after a while, exclude the app from battery optimisation (Settings → Apps → Secure VoIP → Battery → Unrestricted) so Android does not put it to sleep.

Next: Blind transfers in the app · Attended transfers in the app · Voicemail.
