Forward calls to your mobile, another office or a colleague – all the time, or only when you are busy, do not answer or your phone is offline.
Set up forwarding
- Log in to the VoIP portal, open the Voice tab and click the phone number or extension.
- From the Incoming Calls menu choose Call Forwarding.
- Forward always: enter up to six forwarding numbers, each with its own time schedule. They are checked in order and the first one whose schedule matches is used – for example the office during work hours and a mobile after hours.
- Tick Forward before all other features if forwarding should take priority over the auto attendant, do not disturb, queues and conferencing.
- Conditional forwarding – set a number and schedule for each of:
- Unavailable (no answer) – also set the diversion timer, the number of seconds to ring before forwarding.
- Busy – you are already on a call.
- Offline – your phone or app is not registered, for example during a power or internet outage.
- Click Save.
The Offline forward (network call forward) is worth setting for a business line – if your office loses power or internet, calls go to a mobile instead of failing.
Forward by caller’s region (geographical forwarding)
Businesses with several branches can route calls by where the caller is: choose Geographical Forwarding from the Incoming Calls menu, enable it, and add a row for each region (the caller’s location and the number to forward to), with an optional time schedule. Set a default forward number for callers that match no rule.
Time schedules
Next to any schedule field click [Edit] to create or change a schedule. Use 24-hour times (for example 09:00–17:30) and add public holidays or custom dates as needed. Schedules are shared by all the call-flow features on the line.
