Do not disturb stops calls ringing your phone – callers go to voicemail, hear a busy tone or are forwarded elsewhere. It can be switched on manually, run on a time schedule, or apply on specific dates such as the Christmas break.
- Log in to the VoIP portal, open the Voice tab and click the number or extension.
- From the Incoming Calls menu choose Do Not Disturb and tick the box to enable it.
- Choose a time schedule for when DND applies (or leave it at all times).
- Decide what callers get: tick play a busy tone, or enter a forwarding number (a colleague, a mobile, or an extension running an auto attendant). With neither set, callers go to voicemail.
- Tick apply before other features if DND should override the auto attendant, queues and forwarding – useful for holidays and after hours.
- Click Save.
Specific dates and date ranges
In the text box at the bottom of the DND page you can list dates when DND applies, one per line:
- A single day:
25-12-2026 - A range:
24-12-2026 to 11-01-2027(a comma also works) - A range with times:
24-12-2026 17:00, 11-01-2027 09:00– from 5pm on the first day until 9am on the last
Use two digits for the day and month (08-01-2027, not 8-1-27). This is the easiest way to play a holiday message and send calls to an on-call mobile over Christmas and New Year.
