Yealink phones – set-up and auto-provisioning

Unbox and connect

  1. Clip the stand into the slots on the back of the phone, above the cable ports.
  2. Plug the coiled handset cord into the port with the handset icon, the other end into the handset.
  3. Connect the Ethernet cable from the port marked Internet to your router or switch (PoE switches also power the phone; otherwise use the power adapter). The phone boots and shows a welcome screen.

Add the phone in the VoIP portal

Go to Voice → Phones, choose Yealink and the model, enter the MAC address from the label on the back, a description, and – optionally – a web admin password (if left blank the admin password is admin and the user password user). Select the account for each line, program any line keys and click Add new phone. Ask us for the provisioning server address for Yealink phones if you do not have it.

Point the phone at the server

  1. On the phone press Menu → Status and note the IPv4 Address.
  2. Open that address in a browser on the same network and log in (default admin / admin).
  3. Go to Settings → Auto Provision, enter the provisioning server address we gave you in Server URL, click Confirm and then Auto Provision Now.
  4. The phone downloads its configuration and may upgrade its firmware, rebooting several times over up to five minutes. Do not power it off.

Once it shows your number registered, dial *55 to test. To change anything later, edit the phone in the portal and reboot the phone.
