Step 1 – enable the phone’s web interface
Web access is off by default on Panasonic phones. On the handset press Menu → System Settings → Network Settings → Embedded Web, set it to On and press OK. Then find the IP address under Menu → System Settings → Status → IPv4 Settings → IP Address, open it in a browser and log in with admin / adminpass.
Step 2 – factory reset
On the Maintenance tab choose Reset to Defaults → Reset to Carrier Defaults and confirm. The phone restarts with all settings cleared – repeat step 1 to get back into the web interface.
Step 3 – add the phone in the VoIP portal
Go to Voice → Phones → Add a new phone, choose Panasonic and the model, enter the MAC address (on the back of the phone or under Status → Network Status in the web interface). Copy the Maintenance / Standard File URL shown under the Phone Type field – it contains a long key unique to your account. Select the accounts and line keys you want, then click Update Phone Details; the configuration file is generated within a few seconds.
Step 4 – enter the URL and restart
In the phone’s web interface open Maintenance → Provisioning Maintenance, paste the URL into Standard File URL (replacing anything there; the Product and Master File fields can stay), click Save and check it is committed. Then go to Maintenance → Restart and confirm. The phone restarts, downloads its configuration and registers – allow several minutes.
Back to auto-provisioning overview.
