Grandstream phones – auto-provisioning

1. In the VoIP portal go to Voice → Phones → Add a new phone, choose Grandstream and the model, enter the MAC address (label on the back of the phone or box), select the account for each line and program any line keys (for example BLF keys). Save the phone, and ask us for the Grandstream provisioning server address if you do not have it.
2. Find the phone’s IP address in its menu (Status → Network) and open it in a browser. Log in as admin (default password admin). Recent GXP firmware does not log in from Google Chrome – use Firefox, Edge or Safari.
3. Go to Maintenance → Upgrade and Provisioning.
4. Under Config File set the upgrade method to HTTPS and enter the provisioning server address as the Config Server Path.
5. Set Allow DHCP Option 43 and Option 66 to Override Server to No, so DHCP cannot override the setting.
6. Under Firmware set the method to HTTPS and enter the same address as the Firmware Server Path.
7. Save, then click Provision at the top of the page. The phone downloads its configuration and any firmware update – be patient, an upgrade can take several minutes.
