Unbox and connect
Attach the stand to the slots on the back, connect the handset cord (larger plug into the phone’s handset port), and run the Ethernet cable from the Internet port to your router or switch. The phone powers on and shows a welcome message.
Add the phone in the VoIP portal
Go to Voice → Phones, choose Fanvil and the model, enter the MAC address from the back of the phone and a description (VLAN ID is optional), select the account for each line and program any side or function keys. Save the phone. Ask us for the Fanvil provisioning server address and the configuration file encryption key for your account if you do not have them.
Enter the provisioning details
- On the phone open Menu → Status and note the IPv4 address; open it in a browser and log in as
admin/admin. - On the Upgrade tab enter the provisioning server as the upgrade server address and click Apply.
- On the Auto Provision tab enter the Configuration File Encryption Key we gave you.
- Under Static Provisioning Server set: server address – the provisioning server; config file name –
$mac.xml; protocol – HTTP; update mode – Update after reboot. Click Apply. - Click AutoProvision now, then reboot the phone. It registers when it comes back up.
