ASH HOST registers and manages .nz, .co.nz, .com, .org, .io, .shop and many other domains. Registration and renewal are $29 per year plus GST ($33.35 incl. GST); premium and some country-code extensions differ and we quote before you buy.
Register a new domain
Search for the name on our Domain Name Registration page, or in the hosting portal choose Register a domain. Free DNS management is included; the domain can use our nameservers or point anywhere you like.
Transfer a domain to us
- Make sure the domain is unlocked at your current registrar and you have access to the registrant email address.
- Get the transfer code – called the UDAI for .nz domains, or the EPP/auth code for .com and others – from the current registrar.
- In the hosting portal choose Transfer a domain, enter the domain and the code, and complete the order. We do the paperwork and let you know when it is done – usually within a few days; .nz transfers are quick, .com transfers can take up to five days and may ask you to approve by email.
Transferring the domain does not move your website or email – those are separate. If you are moving hosting too, set up the site with us first so nothing goes offline.
Renewals
We email renewal reminders before the expiry date; turn on auto-renew in the hosting portal so the domain never lapses. An expired domain stops the website and email working and can be lost after the grace period.
Changing the owner or contact details
Email [email protected] from the registrant’s address with the new details. Registrant changes on .nz domains are confirmed by email.
