The settings for the Huawei BE3 Pro
These are the only settings ASH NET fibre needs. There is no username or password – we stopped using PPPoE in January 2026.

Step by step
1. Connect the Huawei BE3 Pro to the fibre box
Run an Ethernet cable from the router's WAN / internet port to the activated port on your fibre box (ONT) – the port is named in your activation email and normally has a light beside it. Power the router on and connect a computer or phone to it. If you use a phone, turn mobile data off so it cannot fall back to the mobile network.
2. Open the settings

3. Set the internet connection to DHCP
- Go to Internet > Internet Settings and edit the Ethernet WAN profile (its name usually contains ETH and a VID).
- Tick Enable connection, set Connection type to IP routing (IP) and IPv4 addressing type to DHCP.
- Make sure NAT is on and the profile is bound to the Ethernet WAN port.
If the router asks for a line speed, use 100/20 for Fibre 100, 500/100 for Fibre 500, 920/500 for Fibre 920, or leave it on automatic.
4. Tag the internet VLAN as 10
- In the same profile, tick Enable VLAN.
- Set VLAN ID 10, 802.1p 0 and MTU 1500.
- Save; the router reconnects.
5. Save and reconnect
Apply the settings and give the router a minute or two – most reboot themselves. The status page should then show an internet or WAN IP address from us.
6. Check it works
Open a website, then run a speed test. If the WAN stays blank, go back over steps 3 and 4 – one of the two has not saved – and restart the router.
7. If it still will not connect
Factory reset the Huawei BE3 Pro (hold the reset pin for about ten seconds with the power on), set it up again from step 2, and make sure you are using the port on the fibre box named in your activation email. Ex-provider routers are sometimes locked and will not show a VLAN page at all.
Ex-Spark and ex-Vodafone units are often locked to the old provider. If the menus above are missing, factory reset the router; if they are still missing, the unit cannot be used on ASH NET.
