    Broadband connections based on Hyperfibre technology will be accessible statewide starting in October 2020, if your region already has access to the Ashnet fibre network as part of the UFB project’s first stage.     A Hyperfibre link does not require any construction because it still uses the Ashnet fibre network, which is already underground. However, a technician will need to come to your location and replace your ONT (optical network terminal) with a new one that can handle Hyperfibre speeds.
