1. Open your Outlook application
2. Click on “File” > “Info” > “Account Settings”
3. Click on “New” > Tick “E-mail Account” > “Next”
4. Tick “Manual setup or additional server types” > “Next”
5. Tick “POP or IMAP” > “Next”
6. Fill out the following fields:
Name: Your Name
Email Address: Your Email Address
Incoming Mail Server: host.ashhost.co.nz
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): host.ashhost.co.nz
User Name: Your Email Address
Password: Your Password
7. Tick “Remember Password” and “Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”, then click on “More Settings”
8. Click on “Outgoing Server” and tick “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and make sure “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is ticked.
9. Click on “Advanced” and change “Incoming server (POP3):” to 995, tick “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”. Tick “Leave a copy of messages on the server” and untick “Remove from server after x days”.
